Blake Shelton saves South Dakota’s Rowan Grace for another week

South Dakota cheered on its hometown heroine Rowan Grace during her journey on NBC’s The Voice. After making her first live television appearance last Monday night, Rowan Grace set out to prove to the nation that she deserved to climb into the Top 13. The question is…did America vote to keep them in competition?

During Tuesday night’s live results show, Team Blake became the first group to figure out who America had voted in the top 13. Ultimately, Rowan Grace did not receive the group’s top two votes. However, her new pal Blake Shelton showed just how devoted he is to Rowan and her singing skills.

With Rowan not getting enough votes to get into the top 13, her coach, Blake Shelton, faced a difficult decision. He had a chance to save either Rowan Grace or her teammate Bryce Leatherwood. Whoever Blake didn’t choose, that singer had to earn America’s vote during the “Instant Save” round by performing a different song.

Blake spoke very highly of Rowan and Bryce. To be honest, I was convinced that he would choose Bryce. Blake admired that Bryce was “country through and through”. To my surprise, Blake decided to save Rowan Grace again! This talented South Dakota teenager is now officially part of The Voice’s Top 13 group moving into the live shows next week. Wow!

It was really special to see Rowan on TV during the first elimination. She looked really nervous as she held her breath. Judging by Blake’s emotions and facial expressions, this was one of the tougher decisions he’s made this season of The Voice so far. But I think Blake might have a little soft spot for this South Dakotan.

We look forward to seeing another outstanding performance from Rowan Grace next Monday on The Voice. you go girl!

8 Celebrities You Might Meet In South Dakota

You might not think that South Dakota is the crossroads of celebrity life. That’s a good thing, we like to live under the radar here in the upper levels.

But since we live in South Dakota, we’re only a few degrees away from fame. Not just because the author of the Little House on the Prairie books is from here. Or because every time Tom Brokaw comes on TV, someone says, “You know he’s from Yankton.”

We may not have as many chances of a celebrity sighting in South Dakota as we do in Minneapolis, but there are some famous people you might encounter at the 605.
