Marko takes first place at the Augsburg Invitational – Minnesota State University > Minnesota

Mankato, Min.Cole Marko left everything on the mat to win the championship at this weekend’s Augsburg Invitational hosted by Augsburg University in St. Paul, Minnesota. The state of Minnesota had wrestlers competing in the gold and freshmen brackets at this weekend’s Augsburg Invitational, all wrestlers in the freshmen bracket wrestled free.

Marko, a standout freshman Maverick at 165, went 4-0 up at the tournament. Marko scored in the championship game Cooper Willis from Augsburg and won in extra time with a sudden 3-1 victory. This win earned Marko his second first place finish of the season.

The state of Minnesota had eight more spots in the open tournament this weekend.
